A love of the footlights surfaced early, as Catherine, age 8, began choreographing dances for her sisters to perform in front of their parents. Whether it was school choir, drama clubs or musical bands, Catherine spent most of her spare time on stage or behind it. Efforts to lead a normal life ultimately failed much to her family’s chagrin, and Catherine emigrated to Los Angeles where she promptly met the love of her life. The pilgrim’s journey may be long but it is rarely straight and it was some years before Catherine could rededicate herself fully to her art. Sadly, this journey is now being made alone as her husband passed away in 2008 but she still considers herself the luckiest woman in the world for the gifts that life has granted her, however undeserving.
